Do you have any tips? -Anne E., CO A: Hi Anne. Try removing hardened wax with a dull knife, then place the stain facedown on some paper towels. Now that you're at the back of the stain, try using a cleaning fluid or dry-cleaning solvent. If it is still there, treat it with a solution of 1 tablespoon mild white hand dish-washing liquid and 1 teaspoon household ammonia in 1 cup water.
